Kevin Michaels |
|
Kevin Michaels, AeroStrategy Principal and co-founder, has 22 years of aviation experience, including hundreds of consulting engagements for leading aviation and aerospace companies across the globe. He has expertise in the aerospace OEM and MRO sectors, strategic planning, and industrial marketing. Previously a Principal with The Canaan Group and Director - Strategic Development with Rockwell Collins Government Systems, Kevin began his career as a project engineer with Williams International.
He holds BS - Aerospace Engineering and MBA (with distinction) degrees from the University of Michigan, and MSc (with Honors) and PhD degrees in International Relations from the London School of Economics. He manages the AeroStrategy North American office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

David Stewart |
|
David Stewart, AeroStrategy co-founder and head of the European office in the U.K., has over 25 years experience in aviation. He has led assignments with leading aerospace manufacturers, service suppliers, and airlines in Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia Pacific, developing significant experience in the airline, aircraft equipment, and maintenance sectors. He is a recognized expert in low cost airline operations and business models, and the MRO market. Previously a Partner in Mercer Management Consulting’s Aviation Practice and a Principal with The Canaan Group, David began his career with British Aerospace Commercial Aircraft Marketing in 1982.
He holds an MA in Engineering Science from Oxford University and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.

Hal Chrisman |
|
Hal Chrisman joined AeroStrategy as a Principal in April 2005. Hal brings to clients 22 years of aviation industry experience split evenly between consulting and executive–level industry positions. He has expertise in the commercial and military aerospace OEM and MRO sectors, strategic planning, eCommerce, and industrial marketing. Hal most recently served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Pemco Aviation Group where he was responsible for commercial and military strategic planning and business development. Prior to Pemco, he held leadership positions with Cirrus Advisors, Aerospan, Oracle Corporation and The Canaan Group. Mr. Chrisman started his career as a Project Engineer at Williams International.
Hal holds a BA from Hanover College, a BS in Engineering from Texas A&M University (Magna Cum Laude), and an MBA from the University of Michigan (with Distinction).

Tom Tran |

Tom Tran is a Senior Associate in AeroStrategy’s North American office. He has over 10 years experience in the aerospace industry with both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Most recently, Tom was a structural dynamics engineer at Cessna Aircraft Company. Tom holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Richard Brown |

Richard Brown is an AeroStrategy Associate in the European office. He began his aviation career seven years ago at TRW Lucas Aerospace before joining AeroStrategy from Goodrich, where he had five years experience in various market analysis roles specializing in the aerospace aftermarket. Richard has extensive aerospace market forecasting experience. He holds a BSc in International History from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University.

Jonas Murby |

Jonas Murby is an AeroStrategy Associate based in the European office. Jonas most recently served as Industrial Marketing Director at SAS Component where he focused on strategic sales, business development and the negotiation of major partnership agreements. In previous positions at SAS Component, he was responsible for market analysis and was Assistant Project Manager for the implementation of SAS Component’s Material Supply Program. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ken Gray |

Ken Gray is an AeroStrategy Associate Consultant with 18 years experience in the aerospace, industrial controls, and computer industries. Most recently, Ken was an operations analyst with Emerson Process Management, a division of Emerson. Before this, Ken was a mechanical design engineer with Ball Aerospace. He began his career as a marketing representative with IBM. Ken holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Cornell University.

Finn Jensen |

Finn Jensen is an AeroStrategy Senior Associate Consultant with more than 35 years line and staff management experience in aviation. He was with Hamilton Sundstrand for 26 years, and developed/managed customer support operations at a number of worldwide locations. He is a former Vice President, Customer Support—Auxiliary Power International.
Finn holds a BA from California State University and a MSc from West Coast University. He served in the USAF, and holds Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor and A&P licenses.

Dave Doll |

Dave Doll is a 35-year veteran in the field of maintenance design and operations management. He has held key technical manager positions at United Airlines, including process engineering, fleet technical services, manufacturing engineering and component re-manufacturing. He currently provides consulting services in operations analyses, process re-engineering and market evaluation. Dave has extensive experience in strategic planning, process improvement and project management. He pioneered the concept of high velocity production systems in repair environments and has helped numerous repair facilities improve maintenance programs and repair operations. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity College and an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Santa Clara.

Jennifer Zapp is a Research Associate in AeroStrategy’s North American office. Jennifer studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan for two years, and holds a B.A. in Economics from the university. Prior to joining Aerostrategy, Jennifer worked as an economic analyst at Smith Economics, a litigation consulting firm.

Hakyun Park is a Research Associate in AeroStrategy’s North American office. He holds a B.S. in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Aerostrategy, Hakyun was a financial analyst with EC21 Corporation. He also interned with The Monitor Group, Ford Motor Company, and Renault Samsung Motors.
